The FIFPRO Team of the Year, esteemed as the pinnacle accolade for the top male and female footballers, is a prestigious honor bestowed by the International Federation of Professional Footballers. Initially known as the FIFPRO World 11, this award was initiated in 2005 to honor the finest footballers as chosen by their peers. A collaborative venture between FIFPRO and FIFA in 2009 saw the renaming of the award to "FIFA FIFPRO World 11," also known as the FIFA Team of the Year, while maintaining its original format. As of 2024, FIFPRO has resumed sole administration of the prize, reverting to its original title: the FIFPRO World 11.
The FIFPRO Team of the Year, chosen through a voting process involving professional footballers from across the globe, stands as the sole global accolade entirely determined by players. The criteria for player eligibility are based on their performances from August 4, 2025, to July 19, 2026, with a minimum requirement of participation in 30 official matches during this period.
The final lineup of 11 players will consist of 1 goalkeeper, 3 defenders, 3 midfielders, 3 forwards, and the additional non-goalkeeper who receives the most votes.
