The FIFPRO World 11, a prestigious accolade bestowed upon the finest male and female footballers in the world, is chosen by the International Players Association. Originally known as the FIFPRO World 11, this honor was first introduced in 2005 with the intent to recognize the outstanding talents in football as selected by their peers. In 2009, a collaboration with FIFA led to a rename, now known as the "FIFA FIFPRO World 11," or the FIFA Team of the Year, while maintaining the same voting system. Starting from 2024, FIFPRO will once again independently manage the award, reverting to its original title: the FIFPRO World 11.
The FIFPRO Team of the Year, a globally recognized accolade solely determined by players from across the globe, is a unique distinction in the football realm. The eligibility criteria for this prestigious honor are based on performances between August 4, 2025, and July 19, 2026, with a minimum requirement of 30 official matches played during this period.
The final lineup will consist of a single goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, with the remaining spot filled by the non-goalie player who receives the most votes.
